The Story of The Chalet
Completed in 2017, an impressive example of local craftsmanship with Alpine influences. Owners Gary and Betty Burley knew they wanted to create an event space for the community that incorporated the natural beauty of the lumber from their land and the bright openness you can only get in the country-side. Featuring Amish post-and-beam construction in red oak, hemlock, and white pine and huge colonial windows, our venue offers a lovely balance of woodsy charm and modern sophistication.
The Chalet is a unique space for all four seasons, offering the protection of being indoors without sacrificing the beauty of being outdoors. Multi-level construction (all handicap accessible) offers an organic, explorable aesthetic that will encourage guests to mingle, spread out, and enjoy the space. Guests can discover our huge cheese caves and our balcony or relax in any of the 4 rooms that are included in the rental of our venue.
